The Principal serves not only as the educational leader but also as the spiritual exemplar of the school. The Principal is responsible for establishing, demonstrating and promoting the highest standards and expectations for academic performance, behavior and spiritual growth of all students, as well as directing and nurturing all members of the school staff and the school parents, who are recognized as the primary educators of their own children.

Job Duties (include, but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate with the pastor / parochial administrator to implement the mission of the parish. Participate in comprehensive planning, implementation and evaluation of the parish’s program, goals and objectives with emphasis on the religious education/formation. Serve as a member of the pastoral staff and be a professional resource to the staff in all areas relating to the school.
  • Manage, evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the school, including instructional programs, extracurricular activities, discipline systems to ensure a safe and orderly climate, building maintenance, program evaluation, personnel management, office operations, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records and protect confidentiality, using discretion in sharing information within legal confines.
  • Maintain a school spirit conducive to prayer and study; help students and teachers achieve their potential academically, instructionally and spiritually.
  • Establish a professional relationship with students and staff. Display the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents and school personnel.


  • Practicing Catholic, in full communion with the Church and faithful to its teachings
  • Master’s Degree in Education Administration, or related field required
  • Minimum five (5) years teaching and/or school administrative experience in a Catholic environment required
  • Strong ability to strategically plan and execute the approved curricula and mission of the school
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with parents, faculty, staff, administration, and parish leadership
  • Utmost personal and professional integrity
  • Experience in the use and integration of instructional technology required
