Confraternity of Christian Mothers

The Confraternity of Christian Mothers (CCM) is a worldwide association founded in France in 1850 by Louise Josson de Bilhem.  Its purpose was to support the vocation of Christian (Catholic) motherhood through prayer and support.  The movement is associated with the Capuchin Franciscans, so it is appropriately present at St. Francis of Assisi parish.

Our parish Confraternity is open to all mothers of the parish.  The group meets monthly for prayer, fellowship and to listen to a speaker and/or discuss a topic related to motherhood, family, child development, the education of children, or Christians spirituality.  The group also organizes and sponsors several events throughout the year such as children’s dances.
