Thanksgiving Day, Thursday Nov. 22nd, Mass at 10:00 AM


Thanksgiving Day Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. 

There will be no 8:15 AM or 12:15 PM Mass.

Our regular daily Mass schedule (8:15 AM and 12:00 PM) resumes on Friday, November 23rd.

Our offices and Parish Life Center will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 22nd and 23rd in observance of Thanksgiving.

Office Closed November 15th – Baptism Class WILL be Held as Scheduled


Due to inclement weather, the church office is closed today, Thursday, November 15th.

The Parish Life Center, however, is open for all scheduled activities including the 7:00 PM Baptism Class. 

Masses will be celebrated at 8:15 am and 12:00 pm, as scheduled, but please exercise caution.


Office Closed Nov. 12th in Observance of Veterans Day; Veterans Recognition Events Nov.11 &12


All Veterans and active duty Military personnel will be recognized at a breakfast sponsored by the Knights of Columbus on Sunday, November 11th following the 8:45 AM Mass, in room 108.  Family, friends and supporters are welcome! Please join us!

The Church Office will be closed on Monday, November 12th in celebration of Veterans Day and to honor all those who have served.  All Veterans and their families and friends are invited to celebrate our school Mass with us at 8:15 am. Reception immediately following in the St. Francis/St. Clare Room.

Priests’ Study Days November 5th, 6th & 7th – Revised Daily Mass Schedule


Monday, November 5th through Wednesday, November 7th, our priests will be attending Study Days.  Due to their absence, the daily Mass schedule will be revised as follows:

  • Monday, November 5th, there will be an 8:15 am Mass, but no noon Mass.
  • Tuesday, November 6th, there will be a Communion Service at 8:15 am. There will be no noon Mass.
  • Wednesday, November 7th, there will be a Communion Service at 12:00 noon.  There will be no 8:15 am Mass.

Our regular daily Mass schedule will resume Thursday, November 8th.

Fresh Greenery & Wreaths – On Sale This Weekend!

The Youth Group will be taking orders for beautiful, fresh-smelling garland, greenery, and wreaths from Sherwood Forest Farms this weekend, October 27th & 28th in the narthex after all Masses.

Sales will help the youth group fund their annual Steubenville trip and their FIRST mission trip with Catholic Heart Work Camp.

The sale ends Tuesday, November 6th and your beautiful greenery will arrive around December 1st in time to decorate!

All Saints Day – Thursday Nov 1st – Mass Schedule

All Saints Day is Thursday, November 1st.

Holy Day Masses will be celebrated at 8:15 am, 12:00 noon, & 7:00 pm.

The Parish Office and Parish Life Center will be closed.

The Parish Office will remain closed on Friday, November 2nd, due to renovation work. 

It will reopen, Monday, November 5th, at 9:00 am.





Room in the Inn Has Begun – Sign up Now!


St. Francis Room in the Inn Begins November 1st

This November through March, 2019, St. Francis will join with other churches in the Memphis area to serve those experiencing homelessness and invite them to be our guests at our Room in the Inn, every Thursday night at the Ozanam Center (St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen), located at 1306 Monroe.

Room in the Inn offers food and shelter to those in need of our aid. You can assist in this endeavor by considering any of the following opportunities below to serve.  There is a job for everyone!

You can serve by:

  • Driving the bus and picking up our guests
  • Greeting our guests
  • Making beds
  • Organizing the clothes closet
  • Arranging hygiene items
  • Preparing the showers
  • Setting tables
  • Cooking delicious,nutritious food
  • Baking scrumptious desserts
  • Decorating tables or Making lunches
  • Doing laundry
  • Serving as an overnight shepherd and spend the night with our guests
  • Making the guests feel welcomed and loved
  • Sending off full, clean, and well-rested guests in the morning with a smile
  • Cleaning up the center to get ready for the next group

If you are unable to give your time, you may also help by donating much-needed supplies or by making a monetary donation.

First Friday Eucharistic Adoration – December 7th

St. Francis of Assisi Church will offer exposition and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on the First Friday of December – December 7th, 2018. Exposition will begin in the chapel immediately following the 8:15 am Mass and will continue until Benediction at 5:30 pm.  All are welcome to join us in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

Adorers needed!  Drop-ins are welcome.
